The European Union (EU) and the Government of Senegal launched the REPT-Falsified Medicines project (or Responding Effectively to the Production of and Trafficking in falsified medicines) on January 12 in Dakar, Senegal. The activity of this project will focus on cooperation in the fight against trafficking in fake drugs (2014-2017). Besides Senegal, the project covers Cameroon, Ghana, Jordan and Morocco. The project aims at supporting the judicial authorities, police and other regulatory entities. One of the first actions in Senegal is to train 33 pharmacists inspectors.
