Communication / Conference: Sanofi raises public awareness on fake medicines for France-Colombia year

Année France-Colombie (in French) and Ambassade de France (in French)

Sanofi is a partner of the 2017 France-Colombia Year, launched 16 December 2016. The first half-year "season" (16 December to 14 July) will celebrate France in Colombia and the second (23 June to 16 December) Colombia in France. According to the website of the French Embassy in Bogota, the objective of France-Colombia Year is to "accompany the country's profound transformation and international projection efforts to renew and improve its image in France and Europe".

Within this setting, a forum entitled "Pharmaceutical Crime: Issues and Threats for Public Health" was held in Bogota on 17–18 May 2017.
The forum aimed at developing the exchange of French and Colombian experiences to optimize the war on counterfeit medicines and strengthen the protection of public health in partnership with Sanofi. The French Embassy in Bogota and the Secretariat for Transparency of the Presidency of the Republic of Colombia participated in the organization of the event, which united an audience of 160 French authorities, Colombian authorities and experts from pertinent fields.
