Enforcement: Irish authorities seize EUR 850,000 worth of fake drugs

Ireland’s Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) and customs officials seized some 200,000 units of counterfeit prescription medicine, for an estimated EUR 850,000 (or USD 989,678) worth. Most commonly hauled were sedatives, followed by anabolic steroids, erectile dysfunction drugs, as well as antibiotics, painkillers, slimming pills, insulin injectables and cancer meds. These mainly came from India, China, Latvia, UK, Moldova, Cameroon, Pakistan, and the U.S.
