Among 7.7 million counterfeit items seized by French Customs in 2015, "only" 173,385 counterfeit medicines were seized. The clothes are the main counterfeit seizures (761,542), followed by shoes (595,160), mobile phones (528,925) and games, toys and sporting items (460,796).

2014 was a record year with 2,580,793 counterfeit drugs impacted by the interception of 2.4 million counterfeit drugs in Le Havre in February 2014. The year of 2013 has also allowed the interception of 1,354,705 counterfeit medicines and over 1.2 million in Le Havre in May. Those two years had scored two exceptional successive seizures on the French territory.
