Legislation: France announces the future ratification of the Medicrime convention

January 26th 2015 - www.jim.fr

During the council of ministers of January 5th, a draft law authorizing the ratification of the Medicrime convention was presented. This draft law would add the ratification of France to those of Ukraine, Spain, Hungary and Moldova.
Adopted in 2010 by the Council of Europe, the Medicrime convention is an international legal tool criminalizing the fabrication and the distribution of falsified pharmaceutical products. In order for the convention to enter into force, it has to be ratified by five states, giving the future French ratification a particular importance.
