September 16th, 2014 - www.iracm.com

Last month, FedEx was indicted for transporting medicines from illegal online pharmacies, and prosecuted for providing medicines without prescription. On Friday 15 Aug. 2014, the company has faced a new charge for having “accepted payment from several pharmacies when it knew the money was the product of unauthorized prescriptions”. The 17th of July, FedEx had already been charged and prosecuted by the American justice for having facilitated the delivery of counterfeited medicines from online pharmacies between 2000 and 2010, and was risking a 820 million dollar fine. FedEx pleaded non-guilty; however, if the company is recognized guilty it will have to pay a 1.6 billion dollar fine.
