Communication/Conference: A hotline collecting complaints and suspected fake drugs in Indonesia

The Indonesian Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) announced that a hotline would be opened to receive complaints concerning the circulation of false or illicit drugs and cosmetic products. According to the director of the BPOM, it is cybercrime acts which require cooperation with the National Police and Interpol. Within the framework of Operation Pangea VII conducted in 15 cities, including Jakarta, Mabadi, Menan and Surabaya, the BPOM had identified 302 website distributing fake drugs, foods and cosmetics.
