Enforcement: A close collaboration against pharmaceutical crime in Southern Africa

Interpol (International Police) conducted operations aimed at the implementation of laws. Giboia II Operation in Southern Africa (Angola, Malawi, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia et Zimbabwe) has involved 2.100 police, customs and health regulatory officers during two weeks of August 2015. The collaboration notably resulted in the dismantling of criminal networks thoughout Southern Africa and closure of three clandestine fake drug manufacturing. Moreover, about twenty pharmacies and stores selling counterfeit and illegal medicines were closed.
