The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) issued January 29, 2016 a report entitled "Internet Drug Outlet Identification Program - Progress Report for State and Federal Regulators: January 2016". This one focuses on the fight against illegal drug sales sites accessible in the US and provides recent figures of this phenomenon. Of the 10,668 sites identified by the NABP, 90% do not comply and are classified as "not recommended" by NABP. 60% of these stores online "not recommended" hide their address on the website. In addition, over 50% of malicious web sites provide drugs that are foreign or not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the United States and 90% of them seem to have affiliations with mafia networks selling drugs on the internet.
